CUPAD Team

Our teachers and assistants are very experienced with physie and all share a passion and love for the sport. As a non profit club, our teachers are volunteers and we are so grateful to have them!

Our teachers have completed Working with Children checks.

Leonie Gray - Club Principal

Miss Leonie has almost 40 years of experience in three codes of physie and has achieved finals success in all three codes. She has learnt to be a humble winner, graciousness in defeat as well as resilience and perseverance.

 

Miss Leonie’s love of physie is compounded by the wonderful life-long friends she has made over the years and enjoys the fun weekly catch-up with good friends. She has three young daughters who also share her passion for physie. She loves that her children will also understand the importance of good female friends and building each other up. Miss Leonie also loves the physical aspect of physie, maintaining her strength and flexibility.

 

​Miss Leonie is the Club Principal of Camden United Physie and Dance and is committed to providing a positive atmosphere for all members, making all girls and ladies feel a sense of belonging and acceptance from the moment they join the club.

Mikayla Ashman - Teacher

Miss Mikayla started physie when she was just 2 years old and has competed individually and in team competitions ever since! Miss Mikayla joined our club in 2017 and her love for physie and support for our CUPAD community immediately shined bright! Miss Mikayla is a fantastic role model to our members at CUPAD as she reminds our girls and ladies to not only work hard but also to have fun! 

Miss Mikayla has performed well at competitions over the years and was recently awarded first place at grand final level. 

Miss Mikayla will be teaching our 9-12 years class as well as assisting with our teens and ladies classes. She is an asset to our CUPAD team and is supportive of the goals of each and every member!

Casey Ashman - Teacher

Miss Casey was introduced to physie at a young age and has been in love with it ever since. She has over 20 years of physie experience and has always been the biggest supporter to her sisters and mother. Over the years, Miss Casey has made lifelong physie friends across a number of codes of physie and continues to cheer them on from near and far! 

At CUPAD she has performed well reaching national level a number of times, and has also been successful within other codes of physie. Miss Casey has shown to be a dedicated and supportive teacher who believes in each and every member. 

Miss Casey will be teaching our 3-4 years, 5-8 years, Teens and Ladies classes. She absolutely loves sharing her passion for physie with her students and watching as they improve and achieve!

Bree Evans - Teacher

Miss Bree first started physie when she was 2 years old and hasn’t stopped doing it since! She is a hard working and driven individual, and is an inspiration to all members! Miss Bree celebrates her victories with humility and always strives to improve!

 

Miss Bree has performed well across a number of codes of physie, placing at national level. Miss Bree was awarded 1st place in the Seniors Division 1 section at the United Physie Grand Final in 2023!

 

Miss Bree is so excited to be taking on a teaching role with CUPAD and will be teaching our Seniors class. Miss Bree cannot wait to return to United Physie in 2024 and is looking forward to sharing the stage with her physie friends once again!

Tara & Tabby - Assistant Teachers

Miss Tara (left) and Miss Tabby (right) have been dedicated members of Camden United for over 10 years. Miss Tara and Miss Tabby have competed in a number of individual and team competitions and have represented our club within the community with pride and enthusiasm.
 

Miss Tara and Miss Tabby have always been a joy both on and off the stage, and never fail to bring a smile to the faces of their teachers, family and physie friends.
 

Miss Tara and Miss Tabby first assisted our club in 2023 and are excited to assist again in 2024! They hope to continue to share their knowledge and love for physie with some of our youngest members and will be assisting with our 5-8's class!
